PURPOSE
Operate sewing machine to manufacture and produce Duluth Pack products based upon the needs of the business. This involves working with all departments within production staff to make sure quality and production standards are met in a timely, accurate and safe manner.

KEY RESULTS AREAS
Manufacture and produce canvas, leather and other materials while at the same time upholding stringent quality production standards of all Duluth Pack manufactured products. Attention to detail, quality and meeting standard production times that Duluth Pack has set are critical.
Ability to manipulate canvas, leather and other materials by using hands to guide material through an industrial sewing machine with completed products weighing between ½ a pound and up to 10 pounds.
Ability to learn and retain sewing processes for many various Duluth Pack products.
To perform as a productive team member in an ever changing work environment along with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to ongoing change.
Ability to help Identify any bottlenecks in the production flow and notify Production.
Manager/Supervisor of recommended solutions to help resolve issues in a timely manner.
Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of staff within the organization, as well as exhibiting excellent customer service in any interactions with customers.
Participate in the design and implementation of lean manufacturing principles and techniques to streamline the production process.
Monitor levels of raw materials and notify Production Supervisor of re-order needs to proactively meet production demands.
Research, development and design of new products and enhancements to existing products.
Maintain compliance with all internal and external safety rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager to meet the needs of the business.

SCHEDULE
Generally, this role would work a 10 hour schedule, 4 days per week (Mon - Thur) excluding select paid Holidays and time off. However, Duluth Pack may be willing to work out an adapted schedule for the right candidate.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent education, preferably with prior experience in a industrial sewing manufacturing setting, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge preferred but no sewing experience required, will train the right candidate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of general industrial sewing machine principles and their practical application to the industrial sewing manufacturing needs.
Ability to write legibly and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization, including written materials such as production product work orders and daily sewing logs.
Ability to sit at an industrial sewing machine for extended periods at a time.
Knowledge of the various services, products, policies and procedures of Duluth Pack and knowledge of the various departments within the company and how their respective functions interrelate to the Production department.
Ability to manufacture and produce Duluth pack products in a timely and accurate fashion along with the ability to keep work area in a neat and presentable manner.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to address problems in a professional manner and work toward an appropriate solution.
Ability to communicate with unhappy and/or dissatisfied customers and/or co-workers and work toward a calm and reasonable solution.
Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas to others, both verbal and written.
Ability to read and interpret documents and manuals and apply this understanding to job functions.
Ability to work independently and also as a productive member of a team.

PURPOSE
Duluth Pack sales associates are responsible for representing and selling Duluth Pack products to our customers. Sales associates are also expected to provide customers with a satisfying experience so they will shop again at Duluth Pack.

• Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet Duluth Pack
company core values.
• Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all levels of staff
within the organization.
• Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with outside suppliers,
vendors and customers.
• Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by manager, assistant manager,
and/or team lead.
• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining strong product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.
• Uphold the integrity of the quality and care that exemplifies the brand of Duluth Pack.
• Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping
responsibilities.
• Maintain store cleanliness standards by daily upkeep including dusting,
straightening, and stocking floor displays.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise, monitoring floor stock, and
facing displays.
• Complete understanding of item pricing and ticketing procedures.
• Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
• Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale by providing excellent customer service.
• Sells and makes recommendations to customers by providing solutions the company offers including relevant information concerning Duluth Pack inventory, knowledgeable usage of Duluth Pack gear and Duluth Pack history.
• Participate and contribute to store development and promotion of Duluth Pack quality and made in the USA standards.
• Maintain contact with all clients in the retail store area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and to prevent theft.
• Aid customers in locating merchandise.
• Communicate customer requests to management.
• Participate in inventory and cycle counts when needed.
• Assist in ringing up sales at registers and/or bagging merchandise.
• Reserve and Issue Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness permits for customers during the permit season (May 1 - September 30) in accordance with National Forest Service cooperator standards.
• Other duties as assigned by the Team Leads or Retail Store Management to meet the needs of the business.

PURPOSE
To Supervise retail operations and the retail staff to ensure the duties are carried out in an efficient and effective manner. This involves coordinating activities involving the Retail Store and Retail Sales areas as stated by Retail Store Manager such as operation plans, reporting, retail
merchandising, sales training, retail events, coaching, and purchase requisitioning for retail operations.

• Assist in the implementation and supervision of team leads, sales associates, policies and procedures.
• Uphold the integrity of the quality and care that exemplifies the brand of Duluth Pack.
• Ensure that the Duluth Pack Retail Store utilizes a written employee training manual and procedures.
• Establish a protocol that trains all Retail Sales Associates utilizing a common sales training manual.
• Management of Duluth Pack Retail Store product merchandising. To include but not be limited to timely and seasonal merchandising changes.
• Ensure the training manuals are updated annually to include all aspects of the history of Duluth Pack, Product Knowledge, Store Layout and Back Stock, Customer Relations, Sales Training and product merchandising.
• Assist with planning and participating in annual community or store events.
• Report on status of all Retail Store activities. To include Retail Needs, Hiring Activities, Training Activities, Retail Store Marketing activities, and any other pertinent information.
• Other duties as assigned by the Retail Store Manager to meet the needs of the
business.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Retail Management or business-related field and one to two years of experience in a business role. Have in-depth knowledge and experience managing and
marketing retail sales operations and knowledge of Microsoft Office and RMS. Strong written and oral communication skills, people and relationship building skills, and proven organization
skills are required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Knowledge of Retail Sales techniques and principles and their practical application to the
manufacturing and retail sales industry.
2. Advanced Knowledge of and skill in using a personal computer and software including Microsoft Excel, Word and a Retail POS software.
3. Ability to effectively manage and lead both individual staff members and groups of staff members to meet sales goals.
4. Ability to effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands.
5. Ability to write legibly and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization,
including preparing written materials such as correspondence and reports to meet
purpose and audience.
